Jean Kripton-Durham
President

Jean is a successful entrepreneur who for 30 years has provided staffing to law firms, corporations and government entities.

Jean used her hands-on-knowledge from her Eight years as Human Resources Operations Manager preceded by ten years of law firm experience to launch her company. She has a vision, insight and a true passion for people. This helped her build a million dollar company by 1995 and sustain long-standing relationships with Chicago’s top legal and business leaders.

Jean loves to learn and keeps up with the latest technologies and recruiting techniques. After surviving three recessions, Jean Kripton Inc. is still thriving and stronger than ever.

Jean has served on the Board for Illinois Search & Staffing Association. In addition to her successful staffing firm, Jean is also a certified 5 O’clock Club career counselor. The Five O’Clock Club is a national program that offers individual career counseling as well as career development and job search programs. Jean also served as Executive Council member for the Cara Program. Jean has done workshops on Transition, Job Placement and Interviewing.

When she is not working she is spending time with her husband, two children and her Bernese Mountain dog, Lucca.

Luis E. Barrios
Managing Director

Luis has a real passion for recruiting and he brings to the table 14 years of staffing experience and extensive knowledge of the internal operations of what it takes to make an office run. Prior to joining Jean Kripton Inc., Luis was an Executive Search Manager with Blackman Kallick, the ninth largest accounting firm in Chicago. Luis worked on not only managing the ProjecTemps division but was also responsible for the internal recruitment for the firm. Luis started his career in legal and business development at Robert Half International, Inc., the world’s largest specialized staffing firm where he excelled.

Throughout his career, Luis has handled training and operations at global companies and brings his expertise to Jean Kripton Inc. to expand and grow operations. Luis is known for his consultative approach in working closely with clients to fully understand their requirements and recruit candidates who will best serve their needs. Luis attended Columbia College and studied Liberal Arts and is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Elizabeth Sanders
Legal Recruiter

Elizabeth is a legal recruiter who specializes in attorney placements for partners and associates at law firms as well as in-house counsel positions for both public and private companies.  Elizabeth has a vast legal network in Chicago and beyond as a result of her practicing law for more than twenty-five years.  Upon graduating from the University of Chicago Law School, Elizabeth began her legal career at what was then known as Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon, where she primarily handled complex commercial litigation, class action defense, product liability matters, and appeals.

Elizabeth also has years of in-house counsel experience from practicing in the Law Department at CNA, where she was Assistant Vice President and Associate General Counsel.  While with CNA, Elizabeth served as senior litigation management counsel for non-claim-related litigation, primarily handling class actions on a nationwide basis.  From that experience, Elizabeth has strong legal connections with numerous law firms across the country.  She has also recruited, trained and mentored associates, paralegals, and legal administrative and support staff.

Jane Danley Cruz
Senior Recruiter

Jane is a recruiter everyone wants on their team. Her talents and energy are abundant, her judgement is nuanced and on point. She is passionate about recruiting – helping companies find talent who excel in their field, while simultaneously helping candidates find the position they desire. It’s the best of both worlds; and she enjoys working collaboratively and developing strong relationships.

Jane’s career spans nearly 20 years of broad-based recruiting and talent management; with roots in executive, corporate, communication/marketing, real estate, and non-profit recruiting. However, her most recent experience as Corporate Recruiter in the Assisted Living/Skilled Nursing/Short Term Rehabilitation industry, has resulted in a deep and thorough understanding of the healthcare staffing landscape.

Her integrated approach spans traditional, social media, and innovative talent acquisition strategies and has resulted in success in a highly competitive market. She is an expert at leveraging past knowledge and experience outside of recruiting to meet the recruiting needs of healthcare organizations and corporations. Jane is a valuable resource and partner to clients and candidates alike.
